I hope you all had a great holiday season and happy new year. After taking a break myself for the holidays, I’d planned to be bringing you the first Geek Cred of 2008 today, but things just aren’t working out. Since Christmas I’ve been battling a severe respiratory and sinus infection that has hit me like a train and left me with little voice. I’m finally on the up swing, but its kept me from working on the show, so I have nothing to release for you today. Never fear, though! Geek Cred will return for the first episode of 2008 next week. Stay tuned, this is going to be a great year!

Normally I’d be bringing you your latest episode of Geek Cred, but with all the hubub around the holidays, Geek Cred will be going dark. I wish you all have a very merry Christmas and a happy new year, and enjoy this special season. See you next year!
Well, here I am again, happy to say that I am back online with a new machine. It was very tough getting by with no desktop for this time, but in the end it was worth it. Well, now that I’m back up and running, I can get back to the thing that I missed most: podcasting! Look for the return of Geek Cred with a brand-new episode coming this Tuesday. (New release day.) Thanks for staying with me!
I am sorry to say that due to circumstances beyond my control, that Geek Cred will be a bit delayed. You see, my long suffering desktop machine that I used to record and produce the show finally bit the dust. As much as I would whine about how old and underpowered it was (by modern standards) it did allow me to do the show. For the time being, I am pretty much without a computer, at least one that I can use to create the show. I will hopefully be getting a new one soon, but that won’t be until about 2 weeks at least, during which I won’t be able to produce new episodes. I will do my best to respond to e-mails and be in the IRC chat room some, but that’s about all I can do with this truly ancient laptop I’m forced to use in the meantime.
I’m not trying to have a pity party here (though I’m I’ll gladly accept any donations!), I just wanted to let you guys know what’s going on, and why I don’t have a new episode out. I do want to reiterate that I am commited to doing the show, I love it, and once I am back up and running, I will get to work on the next episode right away. And as always, you can drop me an e-mail or hit up the chat room. You’ll hear from me soon, and until then, geek on!

I am proud to announce that Geek Cred has joined Friends in Tech! Well, I’m sorry to say that Geek Cred Show #4 won’t be released tomorrow. I’m home sick in bed. I was ravaged by the flu which has left me with a very nasty sinus infection which is keeping me from getting the show out. What is it with me and getting sick? This is the second time I’ve gotten sick and it’s affected the show, delaying an episode. Well, once I get back on my feet, I assure you that Show #4 will be coming, with another great interview.
Geek Cred has a new IRC server! The channel #geekcred has moved to irc.geekcred.net. If you haven’t joined the party yet, what are you waiting for? I made a guest appearance in the just-released premiere episode of Planet Retcon Radio’s new show for season two, The Log of the Crimson Lein. Planet Retcon has original science fiction audio theater, and his brilliantly funny and entertaining, and includes the Parsec Award-winning show The Stargate Café. Even though I only played a very small part, it was great to be able to contribute my voice, and I want to thank Wesley Clifford for giving me the opprotunity. What? You haven’t heard of Planet Retcon?! Well, what are you waiting for? Quit reading this and go check it out, already!
Well, some of you are probably wondering where show #2 is. Well, I’d wanted to release on a bi-weekly (every other week) schedule, which means that show #2 should be released tomorrow. Unfortunately, I’m sick, and I don’t see how I’m going to get the show out on time. I wanted to let everyone know, though, that Geek Cred is still very much alive–there’s no way I’d ever give up after one single episode, especially not after all the great feedback I’ve gotten. I’ve got some great interviews planned for you guys, so stay tuned. Show #2 will probably be late, but is coming!
